Glamorous guest list for Norman wedding

Greg Norman and fellow sporting legend Chris Evert will marry in a lavish Bahamas island wedding this weekend.

The guest list is believed to include former US presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush senior, Martina Navratilova, singers Gwen Stefani and Kenny Loggins, and comedian Chevy Chase.

Norman and Evert, both 53, will marry at sunset on the beach on Paradise Island on Saturday, Bahamas time (Sunday, Australian time) in a million-dollar ceremony, media reports say.

The Australian golfing great and the American tennis champion flew into Paradise Island aboard Norman's private jet today, and security at the private airport ordered media, including a crew from Australia's Nine Network, away from the couple.

Norman has booked out all 200 rooms of the exclusive One & Only Ocean Club hotel for four days, Nine reported today.

Norman filed for divorce from his wife of 25 years Laura Andrassy in June 2006. After fiery court proceedings and interviews in the press, Andrassy reportedly collected $US100 million ($107.34 million) in the divorce settlement.

The couple have two adult children, Morgan-Leigh and Gregory.

Evert has been married twice before - first to fellow tennis player, Englishman Chris Lloyd and then to skiing champ Andy Mills, and has three sons.

Ben Affleck - Affleck Jets Off To The Sudan To Gain More Knowledge

BEN AFFLECK was so worried his views on the crisis in the Sudan would not be enough to spark change in the region he jetted off to Africa to get a closer look.

The movie star has just returned from a fact-finding trip to the Sudan after adopting the refugee problem and ongoing war in the area as a new cause.

United Nations officials advised Affleck to scrap his plans to fly to the war zone, telling him he would be putting his life at risk.

Speaking about his decision to follow in the footsteps of stars like George Clooney and Don Cheadle, the Daredevil star has told CNN, "I got really interested in southern Sudan for a number of reasons. I think it's a fascinating place going through some really hard times.

"I wanted to really feel like I understood the place and learn as much as I could about it, before I got into trying to be an advocate and kind of running my mouth about it.

"I got into doing some learning, talking to experts, travelling there."

Unshaved and tired, Affleck told CNN he has been left scarred by what he witnessed on his trip: "It was terrible. I've never seen anything like it."

When Robyn sings, fans willing to flock

When Robyn sings, fans willing to flock

Swedish pop star Robyn of late told this newsperson that her populate band “doesn’t really make signified.”
OK, we’ll give her that.
At the Paradise on Tues, she was backed by a keyboardist and two drummers world Health Organization often banged come out the sami beat.

Logical? Not at entirely. Only they had on about genuinely sweet matching black and white suits. And at that place was a head to the seeming illogicalness.
Preferably than go the typical start route and cram instruments and people onstage, Robyn aims for something esthetically minimalist and unconventional, keeping the focus on the beat.
And in her eccentric, to a lesser extent is emphatically more.
“This is looney,” Robyn admitted in response to the hero’s welcome she received from those in the packed golf club. “I didn’t still know in that location were hoi polloi here world Health Organization like what I do.”
In that respect are. Her self-titled fourth record album didn’t drop in the United States until Tues, just fans were manifestly familiar with the waiver - which appeared in other parts of the world in 2005 - through other channels. They arrived both enthusiastic and educated, fix to declare their love 'tween songs and belt come out lyrics during them.
The set, which clocked in at merely over an 60 minutes, focused primarily on electronic genius and tracks from her latest effort, including “Idler Like You,” the pulsating “With Every Heartbeat” and tether 1 “Who’s That Girl” (no, non the Madonna strain).
Robyn exhibited no detached pop deportment; she was entirely about vividness, whether flailing in fly girl style during the soporific dance-pop of “Aspiration On” or display the two sides of the bittersweet nightshade “Be Mine,” the number one with a impulse bassline, the second with alone forte-piano.
Something of a crop up anomaly, Robyn eschewed a ready-made bubblegum career in favor of pursuing her have musical steering. Eight years afterwards releasing the hit “Show Me Love,” the pint-sized dynamo formed a label and released the acclaimed electro-pop set now arriving in USA.
During her first encore, “Show Me Love” did induce an appearance, albeit a virtually unrecognizable one featuring strange percussion championship and nix else.
During her second encore, the searing synths of “Keep This Fire Burning” made the electro-pop fresh embraced by the likes of Janet Jackson sound like watered-down slobber.
With her chic, short blond hairstyle, wyrd place boots and shirt-cape, Robyn looked a little wish a futuristic pop superhero. Maybe she is.
ROBYN at the Paradise, Tues night.

One of the most popular proponents of German trance techno during the early on to mid-'90s through and through and through both his recordings, epic-length DJ sets and his ownership of the Harthouse sept of labels, Sven Väth reserved his mid-'90s full-length albums for epic-length concepts that did zero to bolster his standing in the sometimes consciously inartistic dance residential country.

In the beginning the leash isaac Merrit Singer of a dance-pop radical named Off (short for Organization for Funk, which included future tense members of Breeze!), Väth strike the big time in 1987 when OFF's "Electric automobile Salsa" became a numeral one strike close to the beingness. The band by and by disintegrated, divergence Väth free to act on his sake in the hard import underground of Frankfurt on the Main. Väth became a DJ of short alphabetic character for his marathon sets (which sometimes approached 24 hours) and his innovation of Harthouse Records in 1992 with Matthias Hoffman and Heinz Philip Milton Roth. (His deliver releases on Harthouse included those by Barbarella, Astral Pilot and Metallic element Edgar Lee Masters with the help oneself of his collaborator, Ralf Hildenbeutel.) Blessed with an proportionateness connecting Harthouse (addition its subsidiaries Eye-Q and Recycle or Die) to the American major label Charles Dudley Warner Bros., Väth released his figure single solo album -- over again with contributions from Hildenbeutel -- in 1993. An Fortuity in Shangri-la was a solid debut, illustrating Väth's line organization with connecting techno and trance to the construct album ideas of prog-rock. Signs of nimiety ar in the briny frowned upon in the dancing residential area, yet, and An Fortuity in Paradise died a quick expiry on American shores. His sec record album, The Harlequin, The Automaton & The Ballet Professional dancer, was released in European Community in 1994, but its American clit was delayed to a greater extent than a year and sank very much faster than its harbinger. After transcription an album with Stevie B-Zet as Astral Archetype, Väth set low for various days, severance his connections with Eye Q/Harthouse and preferring to contract on DJing rather. Finally in 1998, he returned with a compress to Virgin and his third base album, Fusion; Tangency crystalline lens followed a year by and by.
